A thoughtful start

Wallpaper installation in Houston, step by step.

The wall, wallpaper and room each bring their own requirements. A clear conversation helps surface the details that matter before installation is scoped.

From idea to install

Five useful conversations.

Before a project begins, it helps to establish what is on the wall, what is going on it, and which areas need special attention. Details like wall height, openings, a repeat number and substrate condition can shape the layout and preparation.

For a first conversation, call with what you know. Photos and measurements may help, but are optional.

  1. Describe the room

Share the city, room type, wall or walls involved, approximate dimensions if known, and the finish you are considering. Mention openings, tall walls, corners or access restrictions.

  2. Identify the material

Have the product name, roll label, installation guide or a link available. Paste-the-wall, pre-pasted, peel-and-stick and specialty materials can have different handling instructions.

  3. Talk about the surface

Explain what is currently on the wall, whether there is texture or prior paper, and whether you know of repairs or moisture concerns. The underlying condition can become clearer only when the wall is inspected or coverings are removed.

  4. Review layout and scope

Discuss pattern repeat, the likely starting point, visible corners, cutouts, the amount of wall to cover and preparation. These details help shape a project-specific estimate and expectations.

  5. Agree on the work

Before scheduling, confirm the included work, materials, surface preparation, access and timing directly with the installer. If an on-site assessment or measurements would help, ask whether those can be arranged for your project.

Estimate considerations

Scope can depend on the number and size of walls, selected paper, pattern repeat, openings, existing layers, wall condition and preparation required. The site does not provide a standard price or guarantee availability, duration or outcome. Confirm the details directly before work begins.
